Nations League, l’Italia torna alla Final Four: appuntamento a giugno

L’Italia torna alla Final Four di Nations League. Per la seconda edizione consecutiva gli Azzurri saranno protagonisti dell’atto conclusivo della competizione, in programma la prossima primavera: due semifinali, il 14 e 15 giugno, poi la finale terzo-quarto posto e la finalissima, entrambe in programma il 18. A contendere il titolo ai ragazzi di Mancini ci saranno l’Olanda, la Croazia e la Spagna.

Gli accoppiamenti saranno stabiliti da un sorteggio da effettuarsi in una data ancora da definire. Stesso discorso per la sede della Final Four anche se sembra sarà in Olanda: pure Belgio, Polonia e Galles hanno manifestato interesse ma l’Uefa preferirebbe – come lo scorso anno con l’Italia – disputarla in una nazione tra quelle qualificate.

Le ultime Final Four si erano disputate lo scorso giugno, tra Milano e Torino, con la Nazionale sconfitta 2-1 in semifinale dalla Spagna e poi vincitrice della “finalina” contro il Belgio (sempre col risultato di 2-1). Le Furie Rosse furono poi a loro volta sconfitte in finale dalla Francia, seconda vincitrice del torneo dopo il Portogallo, che aveva alzato al cielo il trofeo nell’edizione inaugurale 2018/19.
